Higuain Given Permission to Negotiate Personal Terms with Arsenal
Gonzalo Higuain is on the verge of signing for Arsenal FC after his father confirmed that Real Madrid have given his son the permission to negotiate personal terms with the North London club.
The Gunners have been haggling with Los Merengues for an agreement over Higuain’s transfer fee for the past few weeks, and it seems that they have finally managed to get just that.
The 25-year-old striker’s dad Jorge, who also doubles as his agent, told Fox Sports Latin America: “We managed to get permission from Real Madrid to negotiate face to face with Arsenal. Fortunately, I will soon be able to watch my son play in the Premier League.”

Grenier Uncertain About Club Future
Olympique Lyonnais starlet Clement Grenier has hinted of his desire to switch club by admitting that he is not in a position to extend his stay at the club and does not know where his immediate club future lies.
The 22-year-old midfielder, who was the subject of a failed £6million Gunner bid earlier this month and has been offered an extension by the OL, told French newspaper Le Parisien: “Today I cannot say if I will extend my contract. I know Lyon have rejected an offer from Arsenal. Of course it’s flattering that clubs are interested in me.”
It’s hard for me to talk about my future now because I’m not yet certain of it. I prefer to wait to be 100% sure of what is going to happen before I do it. I do not know where my future lies. I’m not 100 per cent sure of what I want to do. I look forward to this meeting to be certain.”

Mannone Signs for Sunderland
Arsenal’s Vito Mannone has officially joined Sunderland for a transfer fee believed to be in the region of £2million.
The 25-year-old goalkeeper has put pen to paper on a two-year deal with the Black Cats after failing to establish himself as a regular first-team player under Arsene Wenger during his seven-year stay at Emirates Stadium.
He only made 23 senior appearances for the Gunners and was third in the pecking order behind Wojciech Szczęsny and Lukasz Fabianski before his sale.

Gunners Linked With Suarez Swoop

Several big-money wagers placed on the controversial Uruguayan joining the Gunners alerted bookies, who then proceeded to suspend betting on that particular line.
It would suggest they have heard something substantial,” William Hill’s rep Rupert Adams said.

Bellerin Signs New Long-Term Deal
Arsenal FC have announced that their promising young defender Hector Bellerin has signed a new long-term deal with the club.
The 18-year-old Spaniard, who arrived at the Emirates Stadium from Barcelona three years ago, has been rewarded for his fine performances with the Gunners’ youth team.
Bellerin becomes the fourth Arsenal youngster this week – after Zachari Fagan, Anthony Jeffrey and Zak Ansah – to prolong his stay at the club.
