Glorious Gunners have six appeal

Many years ago I went to Everton to see the glorious Gunners and we were hit for six with a rampant Gary Lineker smashing a hat-trick.
Since that day we have tonked the Toffees on numerous occasions and regularly score four against them on Merseyside.
But not until yesterday’s marvellous triumph over sour puss David Moyes’ men have I ever got that shattering defeat out of my system.
Yesterday was what Arsenal are all about and, of course, the papers are full of praise for Arsene Wenger’s victorious Reds.
Match reports and post-match quotes apart, one tabloid reckons we are going to add to the squad soon with the acquisition of Real Madrid’s Rafael van der Vaart.
The Mail on Sunday says the player has revealed he hopes to move to the Premier League and that the Gunners are waiting with arms open. (he wouldn’t get a game on yesterday’s showing). We shall see.
The Sunday Mirror, meanwhile, claims we are closing in on a £12m deal for Brede Hangeland, with Fulham looking at Hull’s Michael Turner or Newcastle’s Steven Taylor as a replacement. Again, he wouldn’t get in the first team but I suppose the reserves do need cover at centre-back! It’s redtop rival the News of the World reckons super Cesc will sign for Barcelona next summer when the Catalan mob hold elections for a new president. Yawn.
Needless to say the only bit of coverage you need to concentrate on this morning is the scoreline and the Premier League table. Come on you rip-roaring Red machine!
Sit back and enjoy!!!!!
