Arsenal 5-1 Everton Player Ratings

How refreshing was that to see! Every man wearing red on the pitch played absolutely superb from start to finish. Let’s see how good certain individuals were in the player ratings.

Petr Cech – 6.0

Despite conceding a goal and still not yet picking up the clean sheet record he has had his eye on recently, the former Chelsea man looked very comfortable up until the 70th minute when the Czech Republic international was forced to come off after colliding with Everton youngster Dominic-Calvert Lewin who scored Everton’s only goal of the night.

Skhodran Mustafi – 6.4

A little bit shaky at times but was very key in in move to put Arsenal three goals ahead when he flicked the ball to the far post right into the path of his fellow centre half Laurent Koscielny. Much, much better than last weeks performance in Wales.

Laurent Koscielny – 7.6

Very solid on the night despite making a few defensive errors. Scored the goal that sort of ended Everton’s hope of making a comeback.

Nacho Monreal – 5.0

Compared to recent performances, the Spainard looked a different player. Losing possession of the ball, not tracking back, it wasn’t one to remember for Monreal. Again like Petr Cech was forced to come off early after picking up a knock minutes after the second half started.

Hector Bellerin – 6.2

Bellerin was very quite throughout the 90 minutes. He did make a few good decisive passes to open up the play for The Gunners a few times though. Decent performance from the right-back.

Granit Xhaka- 6.5

January certainly wasn’t a month to remember for Xhaka but the Swiss international has made a decent start to February. Xhaka has recently been forced to disable comments on his social media after receiving death threats from fans after his poor performance at Swansea last Tuesday. He didn’t let the hate interfere with his football and put out a solid display

Aaron Ramsey – 9.4

Now we are talking! Aaron Ramsey picked up his first ever hat-trick for Arsenal and was superb on the night. Him and Mkhitaryan were linking up brilliantly down the right hand side and looked to be a dangerous threat for the opposition. Great game from the Welshman!

Alex Iwobi – 7.3

Iwobi put a decent shift in and was actually the creator for Ramsey’s second goal. He was losing possession of the ball as per usual but fought for the ball back the majority of the time. He seems to play much better with Alexis Sanchez in the side!

Henrikh Mkhitaryan – 9.1

A hat-trick of assists on your home debut isn’t quite back to be honest with you! Absolutely brilliant from minute one to ninety! As mentioned before, him and Ramsey were causing REAL problems for the Everton defence. The Armenian picked out some unseeable passes and fans were chuffed to see their new man assisting!

Mesut Ozil – 9.0

When is this man ever poor? I just don’t think you understand the vision this magician has. He linked up brilliantly with record signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and it is truly great to see.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – 8.8

How quick is this guy! Aubameyang was tearing the Toffies’ defence apart and put salt in the wound by linking up with his former and now current teammate Henrikh Mkhitaryan for the fourth goal despite it being offside. They all count! Brilliant finish from Arsenal’s new star man I must add, he dinked it over Jordan Pickford with ease and the crowd went mental!

Fans – 7.0

It was’t the loudest The Emirates has ever been but it certainly wasn/t the quietest! The fans got the players pumped and going which needs to happen EVERY time Arsenal play at home. Come on Gooners, we can make a real change at this club!
