So, our poor league form continues as we add yet another away loss to the shocking record. If life after Alexis Sanchez is anything like the last couple of months, then we’re in for a long ride at Arsenal.
Anyway, here’s how the players got on:
Petr Cech – 4.5
Since coming to Arsenal, Cech has repeatedly made cases that he should pack it in and yesterday was another one of those. Two silly goalkeeping mistakes from Cech turned a win to a loss within minutes.
Calum Chambers – 6.0
Had some good glimpses as he got some good blocks and tackles in before being subbed off.
Shkodran Mustafi – 7.0
Came close to scoring with a good header as well as showing his aerial presence at the back but like Chambers, lost track of Wilson for Bournemouth’s second goal which ultimately cost us the game.
Rob Holding – 6.5
It was quite an indifferent performance from Holding as he didn’t do too much wrong but didn’t really make a big mark on the game defensively.
Hector Bellerin – 7.5
Squandered a couple of crossing opportunities in the first half but did well to put us ahead with his second goal in as many Premier League games.
Jack Wilshere – 7.2
Returning to his loan club of last year, Wilshere put in another good performance at Bournemouth. He showed his quality when moving on the ball with some great skill and broke up Bournemouth play well.
Granit Xhaka – 6.7
Again, I’m still waiting for Xhaka to impress me over 90 minutes as he gave us another average performance at the Vitality. He just didn’t make an impact.
Ainsley Maitland-Niles – 6.8
A more mixed performance from Maitland-Niles saw him almost score following some great play inside the box but was also caught out of position for the hosts’ equaliser.
Alex Iwobi – 7.0
After showing some decent flashes against Chelsea in midweek Iwobi followed that up with a lovely assist for Bellerin’s goal along with showing some tidy feet but other than that didn’t do too much.
Danny Welbeck – 6.0
It seems like forever ago since Welbeck’s great start to this season and yesterday made it seem even further away. Welbeck just didn’t seem to make the right decisions and couldn’t impact the game.
Alexandre Lacazette – 6.2
Who would’ve thought that we signed him we’d be talking about a Lacazette goal drought. That combined with the fact he’s never allowed to finish games seem to really be on his mind and in turn affecting his game. Hopefully he scores again soon.
Aaron Ramsey – 6.5
Came on to try and get us back into the game but it might’ve been too early seeing as he’s just started training again.
Theo Walcott – 6.3
Had a golden opportunity to bring us level but ended up disappointing with the attempt on goal.
