The Loan Report: Bramall Shines For Birmingham

Emiliano Martinez

Martinez again watched from the bench as Getafe lost 1-0 at home against Sevilla in La Liga. It is surprising that he has yet to feature as he could have warmed Arsenal’s bench just as well. Hopefully, we will get to see Martinez in the Getafe goal soon or the loan will be wasteful.

Stephy Mavididi

Mavididi started as a substitute for Preston against Middlesbrough but was brought into the action on 75 minutes for Tom Barkhuizen. The midfielder had little impact but managed to help his team gain an excellent scoreless draw.

Takuma Asano

Asano came off the bench on 63 minutes as Stuttgart beat Mainz 1-0 at home. Asano did manage one shot which went just wide after some good work on the left. The Japanese star dribbled from the left-hand side to make space for himself to unleash a 25-yard shot.

Marc Bola

Bola only made the bench as his Bristol Rovers side beat Fleetwood 3-1 at home.

My Revenge On Ben Foster

Cohen Bramall & Carl Jenkinson

Jenkinson’s debut ended in bitter disappointment as the defender went off injured after 33 minutes after failing awkwardly and dislocating his shoulder, as Birmingham lost 2-0 at home to Reading. Jenkinson looks likely to be out for a few months and currently is due to stay at his loan club to recuperate. The 25 year old had previously been out for seven no the with torn knee ligaments whilst on loan at West Ham
Bramall however did manage to play the whole game and put in a good performance. Some Birmingham fans were equally impressed with some on social media feeling he was the Midlands club man of the match. It was felt that at times he needs to be more unselfish but he is certainly looking a good player with bags of pace and enthusiasm. The 21 year old certainly looks to be enjoying his chance to shine.

Loan rumours

Inter want Shkodran Mustafi on loan for £2m with a view to buy. A deal that Arsenal don’t seem keen on at all.
Jeff Reine Adelaide is wanted by Championship side Bolton Wanderers, although Claudio Ranieri of Nantes has also enquired about the talented youngster. The French midfielder made six appearances last season for Arsenal and had been rumoured to be close to making a break through in the first team. The 19-year-old would benefit from some first team football soon.
