Nottingham Forest 4-2 Arsenal: Players Ratings

David Ospina – 6.3

Was unlucky to face two penalties and was only really at fault for one goal, also made quite a few saves but ultimately not enough.

Mathieu Debuchy – 6.4

Seemed to be urgent in getting forward but let himself down late on when he conceded our second penalty of the game.

Per Mertesacker – 5.6

Everything you’d expect from Mertesacker playing in a two-man pairing pretty much happened but did manage did grab a goal.

Rob Holding – 5.2

A massive off day from Holding as he was outplayed by Ben Brereton but he should be able to bounce back.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles – 6.2

Didn’t have a great game but got forward well at times and managed to get a few crosses into the box.

Mohamed Elneny – 5.7

Didn’t offer too much in midfield and slowed our play down quite a bit.

Joe Willock – 6.0

Showed some decent flashes but was overrun by his opposition midfielders.

Theo Walcott – 5.8

Did well with his set piece for Mertesacker’s goal but overall didn’t play that well.

Alex Iwobi – 5.7

Like many others, Iwobi didn’t impress during the game but his forward pass for Welbeck ended up in a goal.

Reiss Nelson – 6.4

Was a bright spark in a disappointing game and shouldn’t be discouraged by the result.

Danny Welbeck – 6.3

Did well to stay alert and score late on but didn’t do too much other than that.

Chuba Akpom – 6.3

Had a massive chance once on the pitch but couldn’t tuck away as the Forest keeper managed to get fingertips to his chipped effort.

Eddie Nketiah – 6.4

Looked decent when he came on and got a good shot off at goal but didn’t have much time to make an impact.
