Arsenal Players Create Fancy Footwork

‘Arsenal Herts & Beds’ have successfully created eight one-off clay foot imprints from Arsenal legends and current first team players that are under the hammer until Monday 4th May. The imprints are being auctioned via a dedicated website, with all successful bids going directly to Arsenal’s Charity of the Season, Teenage Cancer Trust.
The imprints include those of Russian playmaker Andrey Arshavin, Samir Nasri and young midfielder, Jack Wilshere amongst legends from the Anfield ’89 team.
The innovative idea of creating the imprints came from Herts & Beds’ members when the Club were thinking of unique ways to raise money for the charity dedicated to improving the lives of teenagers with cancer.
The idea was to produce a quality final product that would be the pride of any Gooner’s living room, office or even bedroom and to do this they needed help from professionals. ‘Imprints’ are a professional company that take impressions of feet and hands and when approached, company Director Richard Lacy was keen to be involved in the project.
The supporters club also had support from Arsenal legends from the 1988/89 squad including Nigel Winterburn, Lee Dixon, Alan Smith and Perry Groves.  These will be framed and themed yellow and blue to complement the 20th anniversary of this legendary season.
A representative from ‘Herts & Beds’ was invited by Arsenal and Teenage Cancer Trust to take the imprints of Andrey Arshavin, Samir Nasri and Jack Wilshere at the Arsenal Training Centre on Thursday 19 March and these special clay imprints will also be framed and presented carrying the Arsenal crest and details of the unique footprint.
The eBay auction is now open for bids, and will close on 4th May (Bank Holiday Monday). Make your bid now and own your very own piece of unique Arsenal memorabilia!!
