Fabregas out of Porto clash

It’s the news that we were fearing, Cesc Fabregas is out of our Champions League clash with Porto tomorrow night after he limped out of the win over Burnley on Saturday. Arsene Wenger had said that he would gamble with Cesc but it is obviously a gamble not worth taking.
Fabregas aggravated a hamstring problem in his right leg and he was unable to train with the team this morning and AW has now confirmed he will not risk him in the game in which we need to turn around a 2-1 reverse in the quarter finals.
‘We cannot even take a gamble, so he is not available,’ said AW. Presumably, Samir Nasri will fill in — what would you do in his absence?
Nasri had a decent game on Saturday and certainly has the eye for a pass, he has quick feet and knows where the goal is…but he is no Fabregas. Any team in the world would miss him…will it cost us dear?
Some good news is that Sol Campbell did join in training and he looks set to recover from a groin problem in time to face the Portuguese champions. And at least Alex Song is back to shield the back four in between his two match domestic ban. More news and reaction to the bad news surrounding Cesc coming at you soonest.
