FTK's view "Why Fabregas is THE KING!"

Cesc Fabregas

What words do we need to describe the genius that is Cesc Fabregas and for the first time on Saturday, he seemed to be enjoying his football, and I do believe him now when he says that he wants to stay. Why? well the lure of the catalans is great, but at Barcelona, he would be one addition to the rank of mega personas that the Spanish giants feel necessary to accumulate. The recent transfer of Ibrahimovich with the colossal price tag of 69 million Euros either means that money laundering is alive and well, or someone has been watching the Swede on Youtube, because he is not worth that kind of money in my humble opinion. Like the Carlsberg advert, probably the most expensive transfer in the world…
If Carlsberg did transfers then this would be the one…
Fabregas can see the future at Arsenal, and he can also see his position at the club. he is KING of the realm, his KINGDOM is Arsenal football club, and now that Arsene Wenger seemingly has also pledged his future to our great club, the need for Cesc to leave has gone. He will stay for as long as Arsene Wenger stays, their mutual futures are inextricably linked. His virtuoso masterclass of assists on Saturday was the best display i have witnessed from him. The slide rule precision of the passes is his hall mark, but it is his judgement of the pace of delivery of the final ball, into the required side of the player who will take the chance that is amazing. Apart from Thomas Vermaelen’s effort which was based upon the Belgian’s individual skill, every other goal was made through the brilliance of Fabregas’s pass.
Fabregas wearing the only “Red” and Blue that matters…
The most excellent example was the pass to Arshavin, who did not have to break stride, and just turned and lashed the ball into the bottom corner of the Blackburn net with relative aplomb. The angle of delivery and pace of the ball has to be seen to be believed such is the genius that is Fabregas. Not since Dennis Bergkamp, have I seen such sublime skills demonstrated with such careless abandon. Watch the pace of the ball rolled into the instep of Theo Walcott.  Again watch the weight of the pass, and enjoy. There are few better examples of the kind of expertise that we take for granted and not only can he make goals for others, he can when the opportunity presents, score the most amazing goals himself. This fourth goal of the Arsenal where Fabs curls the ball with the outside of his boot into the top right hand corner has to be a classic of the goals that we have witnessed at the Emirates.
Ok people, call me biased, but with this player on form in the games that matter, anything is possible. I don’t buy into the hyperbole that we are going to win the Premier league upon the basis of this performance. The first goal conceded by Mannone was the wake up call that brings reality back to right thinking Gooner and still begs the question of Arsene Wenger as to why he has not bought a top class Keeper to replace Jens Lehmann. I remain critical of Arsene Wenger for taking such risks with our potential trophy winning prospects, but in that lies another blog. But what I do believe, is that if we dispatch the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea with similar performances, then our title aspiration can become serious. Until then All hail Cesc FABREGAS THE  KING of the Arsenal!
