Koscielny Gunner be unveiled

At last. Arsene Wenger is poised to reveal Laurent Koscielny as an Arsenal player today, according to reports. AW is supposed to have confirmed to French TV station TF1 that we have captured the player with an £8.5 million deal with Lorient.
Show host David Astorga supposedly broke the news on his Twitter page last night. He wrote: “Info Arsene. The transfer of Koscielny from Lorient to Arsenal will be announced tomorrow.”
The arrival of Koscielny, 24, who is said to have already been training with us, gives us stronger defence options given that the trio of Bill Gallas, Mik Sylvestre and Sol Campbell are on their bikes. I still think it would have been worth keeping Sol by the way. Who knows, his proposed move to Celtic might not come off and we may well keep him.
Koscielny’s club, Lorient had said that a deal would be done soon and it seems that the player is now ours and it has been suggested that he will wear the No.6 shirt.
Meanwhile, my mild interest in the World Cup has been cranked up a notch by the fact that RVP will play in the final and if Spain can somehow overcome the Krauts tonight we will be guaranteed, one way or another, an ‘Arsenal win the World Cup’ spin for all those T******** fans who were gloating about how many of their players were in the England squad.
Out of the two, I’d prefer the Dutch and RVP to win it but those damned Bosch don’t hall look good I must say. Wonder if Freak Crouch, Crock King Jermain Defoe, Michael Dawson and Aaron Lennon would get a game for them? Thought not.
On the subject of Cesc, reports today suggest that his ‘hopes’ of signing for Barcelona are linked to ‘make-or-break’ – break would do, actually – talks between AW and Nou Camp president Sandro Rosell.
Rosell is said to be flying to South Africa tomorrow to have a natter with our esteemed leader ahead of Sunday’s World Cup final, which AW is covering for French TV.
Elsewhere today, there are reports that AW is holding talks with Stuttgart over defender Serdar Tasci. The German international, 23, is said to be valued at around £10million.
We shall see…
