It’s the news Arsenal fans have been waiting all season for, yet an announcement is soon imminent that Bukayo Saka will sign a new long-term contract with the Gunners.
The England international has been one of the best players in the Premier League this season and has firmly established himself as a world-class winger few in Europe can currently compete with, and Saka has opted to remain with his boyhood club until 2028 as reported by Fabrizio Romano.
Bukayo Saka will sign new contract soon as it’s only matter of time. It was agreed two months ago, it’s sealed — there are no changes. 🚨⚪️🔴 #AFC

With Gabriel Martinelli penning a long-term deal earlier in the season, Arsenal are making all the right moves in keeping the best and youngest down to lengthy contracts that could secure the club’s future for many years to come. And if reports are to be believed, more announcements are coming.
With that being said, here are three players who Arsenal should be looking at signing to new long-term contracts in the coming months.
Why Pele Is Overrated.
William Saliba

Arsenal’s young core has been key to their success this season, yet few would have predicted just how good William Saliba would be in his first full year in the Premier League, and according to ESPN, talks are now advanced over a new deal for the French international.
At 22-years-old, Saliba is one of the youngest players in Mikel Arteta’s strongest starting XI, and with Martinelli and Saka tied down to new deals, the centre-back has to be next on Arsenal’s agenda, with the defender simply too good to be allowed to leave.
However, given how much Saliba has played this season when fit and Arsenal returning to the UEFA Champions League next campaign, there’s every chance that the defender actually wants to stay in north London for the foreseeable future.
Aaron Ramsdale
As well as Saliba being in talks to sign a new deal, Aaron Ramsdale is also reportedly close to securing fresh terms with Arsenal as reported by ESPN, with the 24-year-old goalkeeper a player who could genuinely play for the Gunners for the next ten years.
The England international has enjoyed his best season to date in the Premier League with 13 clean sheets and providing some match-winning performances against the likes of Newcastle United and Tottenham, and whilst Ramsdale’s deal lasts until 2026, signing the keeper to a new contract will be big.
The former Sheffield United man has proven his worth after arriving in north London in 2021 to negative feedback from Arsenal fans, and the same supporters would now be eager to see Ramsdale sign a new contract that will secure his long-term future at the club.
Martin Odegaard

Whilst Saka, Saliba and Ramsdale have taken up most of the airwaves over talks on signing new Arsenal contracts, one player who should also be firmly in the discussions is club captain Martin Odegaard, who has arguably been the best midfielder in the Premier League this season.
The 24-year-old has taken his game to a whole new level as Arteta’s captain in the midfield, with the Norweigian international scoring an incredible 15 Premier League goals and playing a key role in the Gunners’ push for the Premier League title.
Arsenal simply would not be where they are this season without Odegaard, and with his deal expiring in 2025, the north London side have to step up their interest in signing the midfielder to a new contract in the coming months.
