Will Robin Van Persie Make Your Dream Team?

Will Robin Van Persie make your dream team? Or will you choose new boy Marouane Chamakh to lead the line? Go easy if you were thinking of selecting Nik Bendtner up front as he confirmed today he is sidelined until October!
What keeper will you go for…Manuel Almunia, Lucasz Fabianksi – or perhaps Mark Schwarzer if Arsene Wenger lands the Fulham keeper before the opening game of the season at Anfield against Liverpool on August 15!
Yes, as the countdown continues to the big kick-off in the Premier League, fans all over the country are starting to piece together their dream teams to enter a fantasy football league. And there is one fantasy football game in particular that could net you big bucks…try £500,000 for size!
The Sun’s £1million Dream Team offers players a million in prize dosh…with half of that being scooped by the big winner. So how does one go about  playing this game and being in with a chance of some decent wonga? Couldn’t be easier my fellow Gooners. It’s easy to sign up, simple to play and the game for the 2010-11 season boasts exciting new features.
With The Sun’s £1million Dream Team game you choose an 11-man team using a your transfer kitty of £50million (more than Aw will spend this summer!). Each player has a particular valuation based on the Sun’s football experts’ knowledge (no snide remarks here please concerning the valuation of a Mr J Woodgate resident of north London)!
You accrue points as the season unfolds depending on how your players do their thing in the big competitions — the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, Champions League and Europa League.
The stars you select collect points for banging in goals, obtaining clean sheets and putting in polished performances…remember, though, your players lose points for conceding goals, and getting yellow and red cards. Simple!
And that’s not all. During the season there are three free transfer windows where you can trade your players of dubious ability and buy fresh talent with the total set at three players for each team.
Once you’ve set up a team and opted for a name you are ready to start your own mini league or join one that someone else has already got on the boil. Then you can invite pals to join forces to compete for the £100,000 top mini league prize!
Right, that’s it. All you need do now is choose your stars, work out a suitable formation and head for the top of the league. Let’s hope AW can do that on our behalf this season and that a certain Cesc Fabregas will be about to contribute…
