'Biggest mistake in club's history': Some Arsenal fans react to what Edu is about to do

Arsenal were extremely busy in last month’s transfer window. We only brought in two players, but we offloaded a whole bunch of highly-paid stars – either on loan or permanently.

Edu deserves a ton of credit for the work he did in January but it looks he isn’t done just yet. The Brazilian is set to continue his spree with eight more first-team players set to face the axe in the summer. (Read full story here)

My Revenge On Ben Foster

One of them is Matteo Guendouzi. The young Frenchman became a fan favourite at the Emirates in his debut season. He played close to 50 games that campaign as a teenager and was viewed by many as the future of our club.

However, an incident with Neal Maupay in our game against Brighton last season put him in a lot of trouble. He fell out with Mikel Arteta and didn’t play a single minute of football after that fixture in June.

Arsenal shipped him out on loan to Hertha Berlin where he has had a very good season so far. He will return to the Emirates this summer but it looks like his fate is already sealed.

Edu and Arteta want him gone and have slapped a £25 million asking price on his head. Guendouzi will have just a year left on his deal in the summer and we will have to do very well to get that money for him – especially when the whole world knows we are desperate to sell him.

Replacing Guendouzi with Ceballos?

Dani Ceballos has been at Arsenal for over 18 months and he has been a quality player for us. His loan deal will expire at the end of this season and he will return to Real Madrid along with Martin Odegaard.

However, the report claims that Arteta wants to sign him permanently this summer. The Arsenal boss is a huge fan of Ceballos and views him as a brilliant player to have at his disposal for the future.

The Spaniard is definitely a wonderful player to have but keeping hold of him while selling Guendouzi hasn’t gone down well with a majority of Arsenal fans.
