Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira is set to take charge of Crystal Palace soon and Eagles fans are already urging him to sign a player from his former club.

Vieira is a hero to many Arsenal supporters. He is one of the greatest players to ever play in the Premier League, and although his record as a manager is shaky, he has the potential to change Crystal Palace’s fortunes for the better next season.

Palace fans urge Vieira to sign Arsenal’s Reiss Nelson

Like any new manager, Vieira would like to bring in new players to Selhurst Park once he takes over. Palace have been linked with a few exciting names already, but Eagles supporters have urged the legendary Frenchman to sign Arsenal’s Reiss Nelson on loan next season.

The Englishman barely played for Arsenal last term. He was given just 56 minutes of game time by Mikel Arteta in 2021 and that convinced fans that he could be on his way out of the Emirates this summer – most likely on a permanent deal.

Nelson, labelled as a ‘special talent‘ by Arteta, has entered the final year of his contract. Fabrizio Romano revealed yesterday that Arsenal have offered him a new deal and have promised to send him out on loan this summer if he agrees to sign it. That is a wise move, but it’s still unclear if the Englishman will put pen to paper.

Either way, Crystal Palace fans seem really keen to sign him this summer. His pace, trickery and quality in front of goal is viewed by many as perfect for a team like the Eagles, who already have similar players like Wilfried Zaha and Ebe Eze in their side.

Nelson, on paper at least, would fit in really well at Palace and sending him out on loan there, if he signs a new contract, would not be a bad idea at all.
