Eddie Nketiah is expected by many to start up front against Everton on Friday. The young Englishman was at the right place at the right time last weekend to score a last-minute equaliser against Fulham.

With Auba and Laca out, Eddie is our most experienced centre-forward at the moment, but Arsenal fans don’t want him to start up front. Most Gooners prefer Gabriel Martinelli instead.
The Brazilian took English football by storm in his first season at the club. He played up front regularly under Unai Emery and was absolutely brilliant. He ended his debut campaign with 10 goals – seven of those coming from a centre-forward position.
Since Mikel Arteta joined the club, Martinelli hasn’t really featured up front. Apart from about 15 minutes as a striker off the bench against Olympiacos, he has only played on the flanks, but Arsenal fans want that changed tomorrow.

Many feel that the Brazilian is our best option up front in Aubameyang and Lacazette’s absence. His movement, pace, energy and his composure in front of goal is absolutely fantastic, and as Rio Ferdinand claimed last year, he is a ‘great player‘.
