Arsenal have a horror run of fixtures about to begin in the Premier League.
We take on Manchester City in what is arguably our toughest game of the season on Sunday before facing the likes of Leicester, Tottenham and Liverpool in the next few weeks.
The Blues have one hand on the Premier League title already. They haven’t lost a single game in any competition since November and have won 16 games in a row now – a truly staggering record.
City are currently eight points clear at the top of the table with a game in hand. If they beat Everton tonight, they will be 16 points clear of defending champions Liverpool and 22 points clear of Arsenal.
The title race really is over and it would take something special from Mikel Arteta’s side to beat City on Sunday. Just to make things worse, Pep Guardiola will welcome Kevin de Bruyne back from injury.
The Belgian is one of the best players in the world and he can single-handedly hurt any side in the league. His injury didn’t really hold City back, but his return certainly is a massive boost.
This isn’t anything new to Arsenal fans. De Bruyne has been in a similar situation before ahead of a game against us. He has managed to return from injury every single time, and he more often than not manages to hurt us.
He has five goals and two assists in 13 appearances against us. If he starts again, he will be looking to extend his amazing run against us, and Arsenal fans are already fearing the worst.
