Some Arsenal fans laud Lacazette after striker lands gong

Some Arsenal fans were lauding Alexandre Lacazette after the centre-forward picked up the player of the month gong for April.

The France international won the award with a staggering 60% of the vote with Nicolas Pepe in second place and Bukayo Saka completing the top three.

Lacazette enjoyed a brilliant calendar month with the Gunners, scoring four goals as he starred in the win over Sheffield United and the progression from the Europa League quarter-finals against Slavia Prague.

Overall, the 29-year-old has enjoyed a good campaign with the north London outfit, scoring 17 goals across all competitions, making him the outfit’s top goalscorer.

However, his biggest contribution of the season was his gesture in the second-leg against the Czech giants, where he kneeled right in front of the Slavia Prague players.

We can only hope and pray the striker is fit for the remainder of the season as Arsenal go on the hunt for Champions League football.
