Arsenal have had a number of players thrive out on loan this season, and Mark McGuiness is no exception.
The 20-year-old centre-back has featured frequently for Ipswich Town this season. The Slough-born defender made 25 appearances in total for the Tractor Boys, starting 24 of them.

And McGuiness’ form for the League One side has been recognised, as the youngster has been called up for the Republic of Ireland’s upcoming U-21 fixtures. The Boys in Green will play Switzerland, Australia and Denmark.
The 20-year-old defender is yet to feature for Arsenal at senior level in a professional game. McGuiness played for the Gunners last season in pre-season in a friendly against MK Dons, a fixture in the Irish defender scored in.
McGuiness has played for Ireland at U-21 level before, and Arsenal supporters on social media were proud of the Hale End academy product for once again being called up for international duty.

Arsenal will be hoping McGuiness enjoys a successful international break with Ireland. It is currently unknown what will happen to the 20-year-old centre-back next season.
