David Ornstein has delivered a positive update on Kieran Tierney’s injury in his report on The Athletic.
The Scotsman was left out of the squad last night as a precaution. It was claimed that he had muscle tightness, but Mikel Arteta’s comments about an MRI scan scheduled for today worried supporters.
Arsenal looked terrible without Tierney last night. We barely had any threat coming in from our left-flank and that showed just how dependent we are on the former Celtic skipper.
My Revenge On Ben Foster
The Gunners host Newcastle United in the Premier League on Monday and fans don’t want to see a starting XI without Tierney’s name in it. Thankfully, it looks like the Scotsman will make it.
Ornstein has claimed that Tierney’s scan showed no sign of a muscle tear. He is now expected to be available for the game on Monday and that is a massive boost for us.
Tierney’s defending is extremely important for us but his attacking game is what makes us better. The former Celtic man has created 20 chances in the Premier League this season – more than any other Arsenal player.
He has been in fine form as well, picking up two assists and scoring a wonder goal in his last three league appearances.
Arsenal fans, predictably, are delighted with Ornstein’s update.
