Arsenal supporters were nonchalant following the news that Kieran Tierney will miss Scotland’s Euro 2020 opener through injury.
Manager Steve Clark confirmed via the Independent before Scotland’s Euro 2020 opener with the Czech Republic that the left-back was dropped from the squad due to a small injury.
The fullback is one of Scotland’s most important players and was due to start in a three-man defence this afternoon. Tierney should be back in the squad for Friday’s fixture against international rivals England.
The Arsenal star has had injury problems for the majority of his career with the Gunners. Last season alone saw the Scottish defender miss eight games due to various knocks and issues.
Tierney is a player that plenty of Scotland supporters have pinned their hopes on this summer to cause an upset at Euro 2020. But for Arsenal fans, they were not shocked to read the news that the defender was out for the Tartan Army’s opening game of the competition.
Here’s what some Arsenal fans had to say about Tierney picking up another injury on Twitter…

Indeed, Tierney is one of four Arsenal players at Euro 2020 this summer.
Bukayo Saka was an unused substitute in England’s win against Croatia, whilst Granit Xhaka captained Switzerland in their 1-1 draw with Wales. Bernd Leno is part of Germany’s squad.
