A week after humiliating Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League, Dinamo Zagreb star Mislav Orsic has been linked with a move to Arsenal. (The Times, print edition, Thursday, page 66)

The 28-year-old Croatian is having a phenomenal season for Zagreb so far.

He has scored 19 goals and has provided eight assists in all competitions – the most impressive of those being a hat-trick to knock Spurs out of Europe last week.

With Willian turning out to be a disappointment and Arteta not really fancying Nicolas Pepe, it looks like Arsenal will be on the market to sign a new attacker.

If the report is to be believed, Orsic is on the wish list.

Orsic would be a risky signing

As hilarious as it would be to sign a player who single-handedly humiliated Jose Mourinho and Tottenham, Orsic isn’t the type of attacker we should be looking at.

The Croatian is already 28 years old and he is yet to play a single game in any of Europe’s top leagues.

The Premier League is not an easy ride for a foreign player. Buying an ageing Orsic and giving him time to settle would be the same as when we bought Willian last season. We all know how bad a decision that was.

Arsenal should ideally consider players who are far more accomplished than Orsic.

However, many Gooners around the world feel that we should sign the Croatian just to annoy Tottenham supporters.

Here’s how a few of them reacted on Twitter
