Arsenal smashed three past Sheffield United last night to pick up a comfortable victory in the Premier League.

Alexandre Lacazette’s brace and Gabriel Martinelli’s first goal of the season are getting all the plaudits. However, there is one person who isn’t getting the kind of credit he deserves for what he did last night.

Thomas Partey had a fantastic game in the middle of the park for Arsenal. He held the midfield on his own last night and he capped a fine performance with an outrageous turn and assist to Lacazette for his second goal in the 85th minute.

Apart from his brilliant assist to Laca, Partey had 80 touches of the ball and completed 61 passes. Three out of his four attempted long balls found a teammate and the Ghanaian completed all of his dribbles as well. (SofaScore)

Partey really needed that.

The former Atletico Madrid man had a really poor game against Slavia Prague last week. He received a ton of criticism as a result, but his display last night should silence many people.

Arsenal fans will be hoping that the Ghanaian can be just as good, if not better, against Slavia this Thursday. His assist last night stunned many supporters, and if he can do that again in Prague, he will stun all of us again.
