According to a report from The Daily Mail, Arsenal star David Luiz is expected to return to action very soon.

The Brazilian came back from a knee injury on Sunday and was brilliant against Newcastle. However, he suffered what looked like a hamstring problem, and hobbled off the pitch. That struck fear in Arsenal fans’ hearts.

Luiz has often been at the end of serious criticism from fans, pundits and the media. However, you have to agree that he has been mostly brilliant for Arsenal ever since he penned a new deal last summer.

Without the former Chelsea man, Arsenal lack experience and leadership at the back. That has been one of the biggest reasons why we’ve been so poor over the last few weeks, but things could change in the coming days.

The report claims that Luiz’s injury isn’t as serious as it was first thought. It is claimed that he should return to action soon, but it is still unclear if he will be available for our biggest game of the season on Thursday.

Arsenal are 2-1 down against Villarreal after the first-leg. We need a brilliant result on Thursday to go through to the finals, and if Luiz is available, the chances of that happening will increase considerably.

Arsenal fans are absolutely delighted about the positive news regarding Luiz’s injury. We’re all hoping that he will be back for Thursday, but even if he isn’t, it’s amazing to know that he will play a part again this season.
