The Premier League will finally be back this weekend as Arsenal travel to Anfield to take on a Liverpool side struggling with injuries.

Mikel Arteta has well and truly turned our season around. We were in a terrible position after three games, but a 10-game unbeaten run has pushed us to fifth in the Premier League table, just two points off Liverpool.

A win this weekend will see us leapfrog Jurgen Klopp’s men in the league table. Our recent record at Anfield has been woeful, but Liverpool have multiple injuries at the moment, and that could play in our favour.

Liverpool injuries:

Liverpool had their injury problems before the international break, but things have only gone from bad to worse now.

Roberto Firmino, James Milner and Naby Keita are all set to miss a number of weeks due to their hamstring injuries.

Sadio Mane and Andy Robertson both hobbled off the pitch while playing for their countries, while Jordan Henderson was sent back to Liverpool by England for a niggle of his own.

Curtis Jones has reportedly suffered a freak eye injury as well, so, he remains a doubt for the game this weekend.

Arsenal injuries:

Liverpool’s injury list is really concerning for their fans but thankfully for us, we don’t have a lot to worry about.

Granit Xhaka is still out with his ankle injury and he isn’t expected to return anytime soon. Thomas Partey is nursing a groin problem and he remains a doubt. However, Arsenal are hopeful that he’ll be back by this weekend.

Sead Kolasinac and Folarin Balogun picked up injuries during the international break but neither player was going to feature against Liverpool anyway.

Arsenal have nothing else to worry about ahead of the weekend, but Klopp’s injury-hit Liverpool side are still very dangerous. We will have to be at our very best to get anything from the game on Saturday.
