Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta faced the media today ahead of his side’s Premier League clash against Everton tomorrow.
Predictably, most of the questions in the press conference was related to the European Super League. The Gunners announced themselves as founding members, before revealing that we will take no part in the competition 48 hours later.

The fans’ voices were heard and it looks like we were loud enough for Stan Kroenke to hear us as well.
Arteta: Kroenke apologised to me
Arteta was asked if Silent Stan had the voice to speak to him after the Super League collapsed. The Arsenal boss revealed that Kroenke was in contact with him yesterday, and the American has apparently apologised.
Arteta said, as per Arsenal.com: “Yes, I had some communication from them (Kroenke’s) as well. I spoke with them yesterday and those communications were in the same terms.
“As always, every time we need something and every time something is happening, they are straight away ready to act, to give the answers they can do, to give us the support they can do. They’ve done it again.”
Asked if Kroenke apologised, Arteta said: “Yes, absolutely. Obviously they have the maximum responsibility of running the football club and this is what they said. They apologised for disturbing the team, not having the capacity or ability to communicate in a different way earlier and explain the reasons why.
“They wanted me to pass on the message to the players. That’s all you can ask for. The way they’ve done it, I have to accept it completely.”
It is good to know that the Kroenke’s have had the decency to communicate with the manager. Up next, they need to talk to the fans, and surprisingly, Josh Kroenke is set to do exactly that in a fans’ forum later today. (Football London)
