Great result against Pompey, and winning so easily with ten men will have done wonders for our belief and confidence. It was smashing to see such a good team spirit and wonderful goal celebrations following our third from Tomas, Cesc et al. I thought Gilberto had a magnificent game and felt a little sad that he wasnt captain, but Kolo was also excellent as was Cesc of course.
Gael Clichy could also have won man of the match with his skilful performance and display of incredible energy and athleticism. I dont think Adebayor is yet up to proper match sharpness as he did seem to just lumber about a lot of the time. Why Arsene didnt pull him off before subbing RvP was strange as was leaving on two front men when we were down to ten. Odd decision by Arsene, as he usually brings off an attacker for a defender under similar circumstances.
The banning of Senderos following his red card just highlights the folly of loaning out Djourou, but I am fed up with saying that already. At least we now have another central midfielder who can cover if required and no doubt he will have to. So – Chelski lose, the Lillyshites lost a two goal lead (twice!), City lose and were second in the table. We made another last minute new signing, we are unbeaten after six games, just two silly goals and one fluke conceded, twelve goals scored, and we are safely through to the Champions League proper.
Gooners everywhere should be happy enough you would think. But instead, thanks to a fanatically ambitious David Dein, we have the spectre of being owned by a fat and hideous looking billionaire Russian (or Uzbekistani or whatever he might be), who according to himself, has apparently been an Arsenal fan for 8 years. Well big bloody deal! If you have read Arseblogger today, you will be dead worried about having this crook anywhere near Arsenal. David Dein now has £75 million in his pocket, and if the fat and vile Russki takes control, Dein is in line to achieve his dream and become the chairman of our beloved AFC.
Whilst most Gooners, I suspect, might welcome Dein as chairman, we dont need filthy Russian blood money, and Arsene is demonstrating that we already have the quality in the squad to win things this season – without bringing anyone else in. I implore supporters everywhere to oppose this threat to the freedom of our club. I was strongly against the Kroenke overtures, but this latest move engineered by Dein for his own ends, is really frightening.
