Arsenal suffered a 1-0 defeat against Everton this afternoon, and here are our player ratings.
The Gunners went into the game as favourites, but our record at Goodison Park and against Sean Dyche hasn’t been great recently, and that only got worse today.
James Tarkowski’s goal made the difference for the Toffees, and Arsenal have lost a game in the Premier League for only the second time this season.

Arsenal player ratings vs Everton
Aaron Ramsdale: 5/10
The Englishman couldn’t have done a lot for the goal apart from probably organising the players in front of him better. His distribution today wasn’t the greatest either. He will not be happy.
Ben White: 3/10
White has been one of our best players this season, but the game today was probably his worst of the campaign. He was sloppy with his passing, didn’t overlap enough and was just not his usual self.

William Saliba: 6/10
Saliba was one of our better players today. He contained Everton’s forwards well, but couldn’t do anything about their goal. He should keep his chin up.
Gabriel Magalhaes: 6/10
A decent performance by Gabriel and an argument can be made that he should’ve won a penalty. Like Saliba, he couldn’t have done anything with their goal.

Oleksandr Zinchenko: 5/10
10/10 for his passion, but this was easily Zinchenko’s worst game in an Arsenal shirt. At least he put Neal Maupay in his place – an extra point for that.
Thomas Partey: 5/10
Partey’s availability after his injury scare put a big smile on all our faces, but he wasn’t at his best at all. He got on the ball and moved it well in the first half, but like most of his teammates, he just didn’t look like he was at his best.
Granit Xhaka: 5/10
Xhaka has been great for us this season, but Everton dealt with his runs very well. He was crowded out every time he got on the ball and couldn’t do much as a result.
Martin Odegaard: 3/10
A really disappointing day for our skipper. He worked tirelessly as usual, but his magic in the final third wasn’t with him today. He blew a good opportunity over the bar, and let Tarkowski push him around before scoring. He’ll be upset.

Gabriel Martinelli: 5/10
A frustrating day for Martinelli. He was often ignored in the first half when he was free on the left flank, but even when he got on the ball, he couldn’t really have the kind of impact that he usually does. Lack of overlapping didn’t help either.
Bukayo Saka: 6/10
Saka tried and tried to have an impact, but almost every time he got on the ball, he had two Everton players on him. White and Odegaard not being their usual selves didn’t help.
Eddie Nketiah: 5.5/10
A frustrating day for Nketiah. He worked hard, but didn’t have enough service. He had one opportunity to score, which he shot wide, and his brilliant run to set up Odegaard was wasted by the Norwegian.
Manchester City will have the chance to close the gap between themselves and Arsenal tomorrow. Hopefully, Tottenham can do us a favour and pull off an upset. But, knowing them, they’ll probably get battered 5-0.
