Arsenal secured a 1-0 win over PSV Eindhoven in the Europa League at the Emirates this evening, and here are our player ratings.

A solitary goal from Granit Xhaka in the second half was enough to seal the three points in a game that we dominated from start to finish. Arsenal are now five points clear at the top of our group, and we are almost certain to stay there.

Arsenal player ratings vs PSV Eindhoven

Matt Turner: 7/10

A quiet evening for Turner, who had nothing to do for most parts of the game. He could’ve had a nap in the first half and nobody would’ve noticed.

Takehiro Tomiyasu: 8.5/10

Another solid display from Tomiyasu. The Japan international started at right-back this evening, and apart from keeping Arsenal target Cody Gakpo quiet, he went and picked up an assist at the other end.

Rob Holding: 8/10

Like the rest of the lads at the back, Holding barely had anything to do with respect to defending. He was solid on the ball and did what he had to do with ease. Another clean sheet in the bag.

Gabriel Magalhaes: 8/10

The Brazilian too had a solid game. He got on the ball really well and got our attack going. Not as eventful as against Leeds, but he’ll take it.

Kieran Tierney: 7.5/10

The Scotsman worked really hard and is getting better and better with his positioning. He tucks inside more often than before and seems a lot more comfortable there now. Good signs.

Granit Xhaka: 9/10

Another fantastic display by Xhaka. The Swiss international was heavily involved with everything from start to finish. A bit silly to pick up a yellow card after a foul on Xavi Simmons, but his goal more than made up for it. An obvious contender for the Man of the Match award.

Albert Sambi Lokonga: 6/10

Not at his best today. Lokonga looked a bit slow in the first half and refused to offer himself for a pass on numerous occasions. He gave away the ball a few times too, and Arteta will not be happy. He was replaced by Thomas Partey in the second half.

Bukayo Saka: 9/10

Saka, once again, was our biggest threat going forward. He’s in fine form at the moment, but he’ll be kicking himself for not finding the net this evening despite having two huge opportunities to score. A solid display nevertheless.

Fabio Vieira: 7/10

Another quiet start to the game for the Portuguese international, but he grew into it. He definitely wasn’t as influential as he was in his last Europa League appearance at the Emirates, but a decent performance overall.

Eddie Nketiah: 7.5/10

As he always does, Nketiah worked tirelessly from start to finish. Wasn’t as much of a goal threat on the left side as he is down the middle, but his running made life really hard for PSV’s defenders.

Gabriel Jesus: 8/10

Very, very unlucky to not score today, but Jesus was excellent again. He worked extremely hard and was a nightmare to defend against in the box, but he just couldn’t put the ball in the back of the net.

Arsenal now need just one point from their last two games to win the group.
