Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Galatasaray defender Sacha Boey this summer, and there is a chance we could sign him in a swap deal.
Mikel Arteta is keen to sign a new right-back in this window. Ben White is our main man, but his deputy, Takehiro Tomiyasu, is not expected to be back in action till mid-October.
That’s why we need some backup at right full-back, and reports have claimed that Galatasaray star Boey is one of the players we are interested in.

Why Pele Is Overrated.
Arsenal want to sign Sacha Boey as Galatasaray eye Nuno Tavares
Back in April this year, former Arsenal star Bacary Sagna was asked by SportingPost which player he thinks would fit in well at Arsenal.
The Frenchman, who played 284 times for us in all competitions, quickly named his compatriot Boey and claimed that the right-back would be an ‘amazing’ addition to Mikel Arteta’s side.

Arsenal have since been heavily linked with a move to sign Boey this summer, with Takvim claiming that a meeting is scheduled this week with Galatasaray to discuss a potential move.
Now, the same Turkish outlet has claimed that Gala are interested in singing Nuno Tavares from Arsenal and have already spoken to his agents over a summer move.
The Portuguese full-back is expected to be sold this summer following a difficult second half of the season on loan at Marseille.

Swap deal?
If Arsenal want Sacha Boey and Galatasaray want Nuno Tavares, a swap deal makes sense for both parties, doesn’t it?
Tavares had a great start to life at Arsenal in the 2021/22 campaign. He even kept Kieran Tierney out of the starting XI for a few games and performed brilliantly.
However, it has become clear now that he has no future at Arsenal, and Edu may as well use him in a swap deal to get Boey, who would fill a void we currently have.
Boey will cost more than Tavares this summer, so if a swap deal is to materialise, Arsenal will have to put some cash on the table to seal the move.
