Arsenal are expected to be busy strengthening the first-team this summer but they are also looking at adding plenty of young talent to the ranks as well.

While Mikel Arteta is keen to add quality to the first-team and build on a successful season, there is also one eye on continuity planning and ensuring the Gunners have the best young talent around.

Arsenal are expected to complete a deal for Leicester’s Jeremy Monga, while others are on the radar too.

One such youngster who Arsenal are big fans of is Fulham defender, Samuel Amissah.

However, while Amissah might yet end up at The Emirates, Fulham are doing their best to ensure he remains at Craven Cottage.

Samuel Amissah offered fresh contract terms after Arsenal interest

Much like the aforementioned Monga, Samuel Amissah is a highly-rated prospect who is already on England’s radar at youth level.

Fulham know full well have got themselves a talented young player but like so many youngsters, his contract situation leaves them vulnerable.

Still, Fulham’s official channels have today confirmed that Amissah is on a list of players to be offered fresh terms at the club.

Of course, whether or not that contract gets signed is another matter.

Amissah has a host of clubs interested in him, with Arsenal among the likes of Man City, Liverpool and Man United all looking on with admiration.

Arsenal are looking to develop a fresh pool of talent to choose from over the coming seasons.

If they sign Monga, they are expected to send him on loan, while PSG’s Emmanuel Mbemba could also follow a similar path if he is signed.

As for now, it looks like it’s over to Amissah and his camp to decide on their next steps.
