Arsenal picked up a comfortable victory over Brentford this afternoon, and Gabriel Magalhaes decided to mock Ivan Toney with a tweet right after the game.
Two headers from William Saliba and Gabriel Jesus followed by an absolute stunner from Fabio Vieira secured a comfortable win over a Bees side who have looked really good this season.

An Arsenal side seriously affected by covid and other fitness issues took on Brentford, and we suffered a 2-0 defeat. Everyone made fun of us then – including Toney, who had a really good game.
“Nice kick about with the boys,” he tweeted after the game, and that caused a huge uproar on social media.

Mikel Arteta did not like that one bit. He remembered that until the reverse fixture and used the Englishman’s tweet to fire up his lads. We won the game then and we did the same again this afternoon.
Right after our victory today, Gabriel, who handled Toney comfortably, took to Twitter and used the England striker’s own words to mock him.

The Insider’s View:
Toney’s tweet last year definitely seems to have infuriated all the Arsenal players, and they’ve still not forgotten about that.
Even when we beat Brentford at the Emirates last season, Alexandre Lacazette tweeted the same to mock the Bees striker, and with the Frenchman now gone, Gabriel has decided to take over that role.
Toney couldn’t do anything today. Gabriel and William Saliba handled him without breaking a sweat, and the Brentford star complained more times to the referee than he touched the ball near our goal.
We don’t know what else to say but it was great seeing the boys having a nice kick about at Brentford this afternoon.
