Arsenal star Kieran Tierney spoke to Sky Sports today about his teammate and partner in crime against Tottenham, Emile Smith Rowe.

The young Englishman has been one of Arsenal’s best players since Boxing Day. He has been a breath of fresh air, and the Gunners’ best performances this season have come when he has started.

My Revenge On Ben Foster

Tierney and Smith Rowe caused havoc against Spurs on Sunday. Tottenham simply could not deal with the duo’s movement, and it really is a shame that the youngster rattled the bar instead of scoring what would have been an extraordinary goal.

Tierney was asked about Smith Rowe and the Scotsman absolutely loves him. He labelled the 20-year-old as ‘amazing’ and predicted that he will go on to do big things in the future for Arsenal and England.

He said: “I think he’s amazing. What a player, honestly.

“You can see how much I enjoy to play with him. As well, the other day I linked up well with him I thought. There’s a great understanding. Off the pitch as well, he’s a great guy, a humble guy & he will go very far in the game.”

Arsenal Insider’s view

‘What a player!’ That says it all, doesn’t it?

We all knew that Smith Rowe was extremely talented and had immense potential. However, not many of us expected him to come into a struggling squad and do as well as he has done over the last three months.

Smith Rowe is going to be an outstanding player for us in the coming years. He has all the qualities to become one of the best attacking midfielders in the country, and we can’t wait to see just how incredible he will be when he is a couple of years older.
