Manchester United star Luke Shaw has had his say on how incredible Bukayo Saka is on and off the pitch.

The 19-year-old had a phenomenal season for Arsenal. He was directly involved in 17 goals in all competitions, and he was the best player in a side that also featured superstars like Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.

Saka has carried his incredible form to the Euros. He has been outstanding for the Three Lions, and Gareth Southgate has even preferred him over fellow English stars, Jadon Sancho and Phil Foden.

Shaw was asked about the Arsenal youngster and he didn’t hide how much he loved him. He heaped praise on how incredible Saka is away from the pitch, before labelling the teenager’s skills on the turf as ‘unbelievable’.

Luke Shaw: I love Bukayo Saka, he’s unbelievable

He said on the Lion’s Den on England’s official YouTube channel: “Honestly mate, I love him. I just love him as if he was like my child or something. I feel like you could ask anyone in the squad and everyone would say the same thing about what a good guy he honestly is.

“Obviously, I didn’t know him before I came to the camp but honestly, I’ve gotten so well with him. I’d love him to be my brother. He’s so cool, so funny, he makes everyone laugh and he doesn’t mean it.

“Someone like that in the camp is good to have and we just all love him and appreciate the way he is.

“(On the pitch) He’s unbelievable, isn’t he? And he’s still only 19, that’s the scary thing. He just takes everything in his stride, he’s not fazed by anything and of course, he’s been brilliant so far. Hopefully, he keeps it up and keeps impressing anyone.”

The Insider’s View:

Saka really is unbelievable. What he’s doing at just 19 years of age is simply mind-blowing, and he will only get better in the years to come.

The interesting thing here is how much people love him away from the pitch. Shaw isn’t the first person to heap praise on the youngster’s behaviour when he isn’t playing football.

Everybody loves Saka – people 10 or 15 years older than him and the guys who are of the same age as him.

Saka really is one of a kind and Arsenal are lucky to have him. He is already one of our best players and at just 19 years of age, he has the world at his feet, and he can go on and achieve everything there is in the footballing world in the coming years.
