Arsene Wenger has a fantastic opportunity to lead Arsenal to the Premier League title this season.
That’s according to former Gunners boss George Graham, who reckons that if the Frenchman recruits two big signings in the January transfer window he may well bring the crown to north London.
Wenger takes his side to Swansea tomorrow for a hugely-anticipated Premier League clash with the aim to maintain his outfit’s position at the top of the table.
Arsenal have benefitted from the arrival of record signing Mesut Ozil and a resurgent, goal-scoring Aaron Ramsey and have enjoyed an excellent run of results.
And Graham, who won a clutch of silverware during his reign at Highbury, concedes he has been impressed with the Gunners’ start to their campaign, which has only been blighted by the opening day defeat at home to Aston Villa.
He said: “Arsenal can keep it going. People forget they were the form team in the last third of last season, so it’s not a surprise to me.
“I looked at the early fixtures and thought if they bought a few players they could be right at the top and challenging for the Premier League title.
“They definitely need a couple more. The squad is a little weak and they need a 25 league goal centre-forward. That would be a great signing in the January window.
“I think Arsenal will be there or thereabouts at the end of the season, I really do.
“If they can get one or two more [signings] in the winter, I think they’ve got a great chance.”
