Jack Wilshere has taken to Twitter to thank team-mate Olivier Giroud for the wonder flick which set up an incredible Arsenal goal in a 4-1 win over Norwich.
Mesut Ozil chipped in with two delightful goals and Aaron Ramsey scored a beauty too as the table-topping Gunners thrashed the Canaries in the Premier League clash at the Emirates.
And boss Arsene Wenger said Wilshere’s opening strike was one of the best Arsenal goals he has witnessed.
Wilshere notched after an intricate exchange of passes with Giroud and Santi Cazorla on the edge of the box.
Wilshere tweeted: “Thank you @_OlivierGiroud_ for the assist! Great flick! Some decent football was played today! Well done lads! Thanks to the fans as well!”
And Wenger purred: “All the goals were great, but the first was exceptional and improvised. It was certainly one of the best Arsenal goals, one I enjoyed the most because it was a team goal.
“It had combinations and speed which you would always like your team to play with. This one was a mixture of technical quality, speedy thinking, quick reaction and as well being calm in front of goal.
“It had nearly everything you want to have, it was a great goal.”
Wenger’s outfit now face a Champions League game against Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday before visiting CrystalPalace on Saturday.
