It’s Manchester City vs Arsenal in the Premier League tonight, and BBC Sport pundit Chris Sutton has revealed his prediction for the game.

Mikel Arteta’s side are five points clear of the defending Premier League champions at the moment, but City have two games in hand over us. That puts them in a really good position in the title race, but we can pull it back in our favour with a win tonight.

Sutton, however, doesn’t think that’s going to happen.

BBC pundit Chris Sutton predicts Manchester City vs Arsenal

As things stand, Arsenal and Manchester City both have the Premier League title in their own hands.

If we win the rest of our games this season, we will be champions, and the same applies to Pep Guardiola’s side. That’s what makes tonight’s clash so, so important.

City are definitely the favourites to win tonight, especially as they are at home. Sutton says it’s almost a guarantee that the three points will go their way – he says he’s ‘very confident’ about that as well.

The pundit wrote on BBC Sport: “I am very confident with my prediction for this game – the only thing I wasn’t sure about was whether Arsenal would score. The Gunners are playing this match at one of the worst possible moments because City have found their rhythm and are hitting some incredible form.

“I really hope Arsenal are brave and take the game to City because the Gunners’ attack is their strength, but in many ways that will play into the home side’s hands.

“Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus – on his return to Etihad Stadium – will all carry a threat, but we have seen how vulnerable they are at the back in the past few weeks, and how on earth do you stop Erling Haaland and co?

“If, say, Nathan Ake is out injured then that will hamper City a bit, but I still see Pep Guardiola’s side really dominating the game, and they are absolutely relentless when they come forward.”

The Insider’s View:

It’s no surprise that almost everyone is expecting Manchester City to win the game.

Arsenal have dropped points in each of our last three Premier League games. We haven’t looked good at all, especially at the back, and if we play the same way, City will destroy us.

However, when are Arsenal most dangerous? When our backs are against the wall! After three consecutive draws, City will know that we’ll do everything we can to get something out of the game.

That makes tonight’s fixture really interesting, and we just hope the boys can get the job done.
