Olympiacos star Bruma has been speaking to the media ahead of his side’s Europa League clash against Arsenal tomorrow.

The Portuguese international was not a part of the side who beat the Gunners last season. He doesn’t quite know Arsenal like some of his teammates do, but he is very familiar with one our players who has been brilliant over the last three months.

My Revenge On Ben Foster

Bruma spent a few months together with Emile Smith Rowe in 2019 at RB Leipzig when the Arsenal man was on loan there.

The winger claims that he isn’t at all surprised by the youngster’s performances this season and has warned his teammates that Smith Rowe has the ability to change the game tomorrow in a flash.

He told Goal: “It doesn’t surprise me at all. At training and in matches (at Leipzig) we could see a lot of his skills and technique. Emile’s a great player. He can turn the match in one move and unbalance everything with his skills.

“He still has a lot to grow and to get better, but he’s at a great team and I wish him all the best. I want him to reach his full potential.

“I could already see a bit of that when we were together at Leipzig, although of course not as much as we can all see now. He’s at a great club to grow and develop as a player.”

Arsenal Insider’s view:

Smith Rowe, who earns a measly £20,000-a-week, is playing well beyond his years.

The 20-year-old has been a breath of fresh air since he burst onto the scene on Boxing Day, and Arsenal fans will be hoping that he is fit enough to face Bruma and co tomorrow.

Arsenal have to be at their best to get over the line. Olympiacos are a very difficult side to beat. We learnt that the hard way last year, and hopefully, we can get our revenge in the two legs coming up.
