Arsenal will need to sign a new striker in the summer. The Sun revealed yesterday that the Gunners will listen to offers for both Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah at the end of this season.
That would leave us with just Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as our natural number nine. Gabriel Martinelli has done very well there before, but even he would admit that his best position is on the left-wing.
If both Laca and Nketiah leave in the summer, Arsenal will have to invest in a new striker. We have been linked with plenty of players already, but none more so than Celtic star Odsonne Edouard.

The Frenchman, like Laca at Arsenal, will enter the final year of his contract at Celtic this summer. Edouard has no plans of extending his deal and it is almost certain that he will move to a bigger club before the start of next season.

Former Celtic and Scotland boss Gordon Strachan has had his say on Edouard. He believes that the Frenchman prefers playing with another striker up top – much like Dennis Bergkamp back in the day.
He told Football Pass: “I think Edouard definitely needs somebody up beside him or more people around him. He’s basically a Bergkamp rather than an Ian Wright. I know for a fact that Edouard likes playing with another striker.”

Arsenal Insider’s view:
Edouard has played alone up front as well as with a teammate next to him. He has had a lot of success doing both and it won’t be a surprise to see Arsenal make a move for him this summer – even though we never play two up top.
Edouard and Aubameyang in a front two would be an interesting option. The Arsenal skipper can drift wide from the middle like he did against Leeds, while the Frenchman can do what he does best through the middle.
The 23-year-old has 19 goals already this season including eight in his last six league games. If Laca leaves, Arsenal have to sign a new striker and Edouard might just be our best option, especially with just a year left on his contract there.
