Arsenal smashed six past Sevilla to win the Emirates Cup today, and even Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp was impressed.
The Gunners were outstanding this afternoon. We took on a Champions League side, one that had lost just four La Liga games in the whole of last season, and we made them look very ordinary.

A sensational hat-trick by Gabriel Jesus, a brace from Bukayo Saka and a late Eddie Nketiah goal sealed a memorable win at the Emirates, and we can’t wait to see the lads again when the Premier League kicks off next week.
Jurgen Klopp makes claim about Arsenal after 6-0 win over Sevilla
Liverpool boss Klopp just won the Community Shield against Manchester City, but before the game even kicked off, he had heard about Arsenal’s result.
The German told ITV (July 30, 2022, 4:30 pm), as quoted by HITC: “Arsenal, I only saw the result, pretty impressive today.
“6-0 against Sevilla. I don’t think that has ever happened to Sevilla, to be honest.”
He’s right, this never really happens to Sevilla, which makes what we did today all the more impressive.
The Insider’s View:
Firstly, it’s only a pre-season game, and we shouldn’t get carried away. There’s still a lot of room for improvement, and Mikel Arteta will tell his players exactly that.
However, it’s hard not to be excited about how good we’ve looked throughout pre-season.
The intensity of our game is incredible, our pressing is better than it has ever been, we look so composed, and as we saw in the first half today, we can be extremely dangerous when things click.
This really is an exciting time to be an Arsenal fan. Bring on the new season!
