Joe Cole has raved about Arsenal star Bukayo Saka and has even compared him to Argentina legend Lionel Messi.
The Gunners’ number seven had an outstanding start to the season. He scored a beautiful goal against Nottingham Forest to open his account, and everyone has been raving about him since, including Cole on TNT Sports.

Joe Cole says Arsenal star Bukayo Saka’s left foot is nearly as good as Lionel Messi’s
Arsenal star Bukayo Saka is right up there with the best right-wingers in the Premier League, isn’t he?
Why Pele Is Overrated.
The Englishman, still just 21 years old, has been carrying us for a few seasons now, and he is only getting better and better with each passing day.
Saka didn’t have the greatest end to last season and his pre-season wasn’t spectacular either. However, he stepped up on the opening day of the new campaign and scored a worldie.

Joe Cole was blown away by Saka’s strike, and he went as far as comparing the Arsenal youngster to Lionel Messi.
He said: “I don’t think there’s anyone else in world football, apart from maybe the main man who’s on the slide now Messi, who has got a left foot as good as his coming in from that position. It is exquisite.
“You have to think as well, the comparisons with Salah is a massive compliment to Saka. Salah is top, top drawer, top class but Salah at Saka’s age hadn’t put the body of work in that Saka’s already done.
“We all wax lyrically about him here, but I still think he’s such a gem, we’re so lucky to have him and this club’s lucky to have him. He’s got such great ability and yeah, he’s standing on the shoulder with all of them players in his position in world football.”

A left foot nearly as good as Messi’s? That’s an outrageous compliment.
We don’t think Saka is quite on Messi or Mo Salah’s level just yet – look at their numbers over the years, they’re in a league of their own.
However, the Arsenal man definitely has the potential to get to that level in the coming years. Being as good as Messi may be a bit of a stretch, but we truly believe he can end up having a better career – individually and collectively – than the Liverpool superstar.
We’re really excited to see how many goals Saka will end this season with.
