Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira has revealed what Daniel Ek will do now after Stan Kroenke rejected his bid to buy the club earlier this month.

The Swedish billionaire saw an opportunity to take over the club that he has supported since he was a kid. Arsenal fans have been furious with the Kroenkes for a while now, and our involvement in the Super League sparked serious outrage.

Ek entered the frame as our saviour and the Swede said all the right things to get the fans on his side. He even teamed up with Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp and Patrick Vieira, which made the fans back him even more.

Sadly, he failed to convince the Kroenkes. Silent Stan, his son Josh and KSE rejected Ek’s bid to take over the club. The Swede revealed on Twitter that our current owners told him that they don’t need the money, and many Arsenal supporters’ hopes came crashing down.

However, Vieira has revealed today that Ek will ‘definitely’ try to sign Arsenal again. He reiterated that the Spotify tycoon is going nowhere, and claimed that his former club will end up in a difficult position if there is no change in ownership soon.

Patrick Vieira: Daniel Ek will try to buy Arsenal again

He said on the ITV Football podcast: “He’s definitely going to try again. He’s going to be there for quite a long time. He’s a massive Arsenal fan, talking to him a couple of times, his desire and commitment to Arsenal Football Club will be fantastic.

“If the club is not for sale there’s nothing he can do, but he is going to be there and he’s going to wait, as he wants to buy the club.

“I think it’s really important because Arsenal is in a critical moment, and for me, it is the right time for him to do his maximum and convince Kroenke to let him buy the club.

“The last couple of years I believe that the club didn’t take the right direction and I believe it’s time for a change. If the change doesn’t happen I believe Arsenal will be in a difficult place.”

The Insider’s View:

We didn’t expect Ek to walk away so easily but we don’t expect the Kroenkes to budge anytime soon either.

A change in ownership really is exciting for Arsenal supporters. The Kroenkes are clearly trying to repair the damaged relationship, but it’s clearly not working at the moment.

Ek and the three Arsenal legends have promised change and that is the biggest reason why fans are desperate for the takeover. Sadly, there’s no way it will happen anytime in the near future.
