Every Arsenal fan in the world will claim that Bukayo Saka is the best young player in the Premier League.

The Hale End graduate’s performances over the last two years have shown just how good he is. His numbers under Unai Emery were brilliant on their own, but he has taken his game to a whole new level this season under Mikel Arteta.

My Revenge On Ben Foster

Saka is among the best young players in world football, there’s no doubt about that. However, a rival Premier League fan has come out and claimed that Fulham star Ademola Lookman is better than the Arsenal man.

Alan Shearer responded to that on Premier League’s official YouTube channel. The Newcastle legend admitted that Lookman is a very good player, but claimed that Saka has an edge over him.

He said: “This is a really strong point. Statistically, the pair are very close this season, but I think, looking at the numbers, Saka just has the edge on Lookman, but they’re both fantastic players though.”

The Insider’s View:

Saka’s rise to fame over the last 18 months has truly been phenomenal. He has played in multiple areas of the pitch and he has truly excelled in each one of those roles – even if most of them weren’t his natural position.

The right-wing role has become Saka’s own at Arsenal now. He has pushed the likes of Nicolas Pepe and Willian to the bench, and his numbers in all competitions this season show that he deserves to start every single game.

The teenager has six goals and seven assists in all competitions this term. That is an incredible return for someone so young, and that fact that he stepped up in a period where Arsenal’s best players were underperforming shows just how incredible he is.

Lookman is definitely a good winger in his own right, but he is no match for Saka, who is the Premier League’s best young player at the moment.
