Speaking on EFL On Quest, Sky Sports pundit Clinton Morrison has made a bold prediction about reported Arsenal target and Championship sensation Ivan Toney.
The 24-year-old replaced Ollie Watkins at Brentford at the start of this campaign and he has been one of the signings of the season. Toney has scored 25 goals and has provided nine assists already, and Morrison believes he won’t just stop there.
The former Crystal Palace forward has boldly claimed that the Bees star will end the season with a staggering 37 goals. He also believes that Toney will be in the Premier League next term, either with Brentford or a new club.

He said: “(Toney is) the main man. This guy will be in the Premiership next season, whether it’s with Brentford or not. He’s a terrific player, their talisman and that is a proper striker’s goal (against Stoke).
“I think he could get around 37 (goals). He’s in terrific form.”
The Express reported about a month ago that Arsenal have been keeping an eye on Toney and are really impressed. A move in the summer transfer window could be on the cards, especially if one of our strikers head out of the door.

Arsenal Insider’s view:
Alexandre Lacazette will soon enter the final year of his contract, while Eddie Nketiah has fallen down the pecking order. Both strikers could be out of the Emirates this summer, which means that Arsenal will have to sign a new one.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will lead the line as long as he’s at the club. That makes Toney an interesting option for us. The 24-year-old has no experience in the Premier League, and learning from the Arsenal skipper could prove to be a massive help for him.
Arsenal will very likely be on the market for a new number nine this summer. Toney is definitely someone to keep an eye on, especially if he takes his goal tally to 37 for the season.
