BBC pundit Alan Shearer is absolutely convinced that Arsenal will sign a high-profile striker in the summer transfer window.
The Gunners are set to lose both Eddie Nketiah and Alexandre Lacazette at the end of their contracts in July. That will leave us striker-less, making the summer window our most important one in recent years.
Arsenal were desperate to sign Dusan Vlahovic in January but that move didn’t materialise. After missing out on the talented Serb, Shearer believes there’s no doubt that the Gunners will go big on a new striker before the start of the new season.

Alan Shearer: Arsenal will sign a top striker, there’s no doubt
Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live Sport: “Nketiah has had chances, been out on loan and it hasn’t really worked for him.
“(He’s) Out-of-contract in the summer.
“There is a lot of talk that Arsenal obviously wanted a centre-forward in January and they weren’t able to get Vlahovic.

“So there’s no doubt that they will be in for a big hitter someone in the summer.”

The Insider’s View:
Arsenal simply have to sign a big hitter up top this summer, we probably even need two.
A place in the Champions League next season is up for grabs but even if we miss out and get into the Europa League, we’ll need a squad that’s much bigger than the one we currently have.
With Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang gone already and our two current centre-forwards set to walk away soon, we need two strikers who will guarantee us goals throughout the season.
Hopefully, Edu can get it done before the start of the next campaign.
