There has been little movement from Arsenal in the January transfer window thus far, but things could change.

There has been talk about potential loan exits at Arsenal this winter, but regarding first-team incomings, there’s been no sign of change.

Andrea Berta got Arsenal’s work done in the summer transfer window, though to some, it’s clear that further reinforcements could be beneficial.

One area that needs attention is in central midfield, which is why one long-term target’s latest announcement must turn heads in North London.

Imagine this: You are Andrea Berta, Arsenal have given you £50m to spend in January, where is that money going? 👀

Quinten Timber admits he could leave Feyenoord in January amid Arsenal’s transfer interest

Arsenal have been interested in Quinten Timber for some time, seeing the talent that Jurrien Timber’s twin has to offer.

There’s no doubt that Timber would be a smart signing, given how impressive he’s been in midfield for Feyenoord, also becoming a Netherlands international.

If Arsenal are still interested in the midfielder, now would be the time to pounce, as the player himself just revealed the uncertainty of his future.

“The reality is that I’ll be a free agent in five months. To reach an agreement, all parties have to be on the same page, and that’s not the case right now,” Timber told Algemeen Dagblad amid failed contract talks with Feyenoord.

The 24-year-old then admitted that ‘a transfer this month could be an option’, as if he doesn’t leave this winter, he’ll enter the summer as a free agent.

One thing is certain, and that is that Timber doesn’t see his future with Robin van Persie’s Feyenoord, saying that if he had wanted to renew, it would’ve ‘been clear long ago’.

Now would be the perfect time for Arsenal to sign Quinten Timber

We might not hear as much about Quinten as we do Jurrien, but the midfielder’s quality is on par with his brother’s.

That’s the view of Arne Slot, who said Timber is at the level to play for Arsenal, just like his twin.

Can you name the ONLY other brothers who have represented Arsenal?

Hint, it was 92 years ago 👀

Given how short Arteta’s midfield resources are beyond Martin Zubimendi and Declan Rice, signing a player of Timber’s calibre now, when he’s available, should be a no-brainer.

The Gunners could strike while the iron’s hot and capture a 24-year-old very much on the rise for a low price, a signing that could just get the title over the line.
