Arsenal are expected to make a few important decisions in the transfer market this summer.
A few players in the squad are facing uncertain futures, especially those whose contracts are running down or whose form has dipped at a crucial stage of the season.
There is one attacking player in particular who falls into both categories right now, and he could be on the move this summer – Leandro Trossard.
👀 Who is the FIRST Arsenal player Andrea Berta must sell this summer?
Kevin De Bruyne could help Arsenal sell Leandro Trossard
Arsenal may have been handed a timely boost in their efforts to move Trossard on this summer.
The Belgian has had his moments at the Emirates and was even one of the club’s best players in the first half of this season.
However, Trossard, as well as Gabriel Martinelli, has given Mikel Arteta a big problem on the left wing, with both players severely underperforming.
Arsenal could sell both players this summer, and for Trossard, interest from Italy is growing, particularly from Napoli.
According to Football Transfers, the Partenopei are currently the strongest contenders for his signature and are prepared to pay a fee of up to €18 million (£15.6m).

That would represent a very solid return for Arsenal, who signed Trossard for an initial fee of £20 million in January 2023.
What makes Napoli an even more realistic destination is the player’s openness to the move. Trossard is believed to be receptive to the idea of joining them.
A key reason behind that is the chance to play alongside Kevin De Bruyne, his fellow countryman and international teammate.
Having someone like the Manchester City legend at the club would make the transition smoother and more appealing for the Belgian forward.
Inter Milan are also monitoring the situation, but Napoli currently appear to be the most likely destination. If things progress, De Bruyne’s presence could indirectly help Arsenal secure a deal.
Fill in the blank: Leandro Trossard is now worth £__m to Arsenal…
Leandro Trossard has been a fine servant for Arsenal but it may be time to move on
Trossard has been one of the more underrated signings under Mikel Arteta.
The former Brighton man has delivered important goals and contributions in big moments since arriving at the club. For the fee Arsenal paid, he has provided very good value and played his part in the team’s progress.
However, his recent form has been a concern, and going 22 games without scoring is not sustainable for a player in his position.
At 31 years old and with just one year left on his contract, Arsenal have to make a decision on his future.
We think the upcoming summer transfer window would be the right time for both parties to part ways.
