Arsenal are looking to reinforce their attacking ranks this summer transfer window.

Mikel Arteta has been looking at Rafael Leao in recent months, and it has been reported that the AC Milan winger has been offered to Arsenal.

Paris Saint-Germain superstar Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has also been linked to the Emirates Stadium, but that deal seems unlikely.

🏆 Which Arsenal star will go the furthest at this summer’s World Cup?

The Gunners are showing a great interest in a forward in Spain, too, and Paul Scholes has now predicted him to win the Golden Boot at the World Cup in America.

Paul Scholes has tipped Arsenal target Ferran Torres to win Golden Boot

It has been reported that Arsenal are exploring a deal to sign Ferran Torres from Barcelona ahead of the window opening on Monday, the 15th of June.

Arteta is a long-term admirer of Torres, and it’s understood that doubts are emerging about his future at the Camp Nou.

So, it seems like there are real legs to this deal, and interestingly, Paul Scholes really rates the potential signing.

Speaking on The Good, The Bad & The Football podcast, Scholes actually tipped the Gunners’ target to be the top scorer at the World Cup.

“I’m going to go Ferran Torres,” the former Manchester United midfielder stated.

“I don’t even know if he’ll play. But Spain in their group have got Saudi Arabia and another not great team, Cape Verde.”

Arsenal should look to wrap up a deal for Torres as quickly as possible, as if he does win the Golden Boot, Barcelona will be able to demand a premium to sanction his sale.

Barca shelled out £47m on the Spaniard’s signature in 2020, so they’ll be keen to make a profit on that fee.

Torres netted 21 times for the LaLiga champions last term.
