'Can't wait', 'I beg you': Some Arsenal fans want Mikel Arteta to play 18-year-old Hale End gem

A number of Arsenal fans have urged Mikel Arteta to give Hale End gem Miguel Azeez more game time this season.

The 18-year-old midfielder is one of the most highly rated youngsters to come through the youth ranks, and has been tipped for stardom.

Some fans have compared Azeez’s style of play to Andres Iniesta and Andrea Pirlo, while none other than Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has tipped him to be a “great player in the future”.

Likewise, ESPN think the youngster is Arsenal’s top prospect under 19 to become the club’s next breakthrough star, saying he “brings order to the midfield with his calm and measured approach to the game”.

Azeez has been in and around the Arsenal first team, taking part in training sessions and being handed his debut in December’s Europa League win over Dundalk, but that remains his only senior appearance thus far.
