FTK Thought for the day: We have truth and perfection so enjoy it!

phil_brown_794982c

Ok the knives are out for another Arsenal player, with the Hull v Arsenal emotions seemingly becoming like our hatred of Ashley Cole, Adebayor and Phil Brown. Yet you have to wonder why oh why the media, (and you know who you are), go again out of their way to wind up gooners by trying to get their players banned for incidents that would not get the time of day if it was a Man utd player called Rooney or the England Captain called Terry. So Eldo has pointed out the campaign that is currently waging, So lets ban Samir Nasri for three games shall we? pathetic, the referee ignored the number of yellow cards that needed to be given to the Hull players, Hunt especially who made more fouls than the rest put together. Hull should have been by that reckoning already reduced to ten men, but anyway I am becoming paranoid yes?

Violent conduct: Does a stamp on the foot mean the same as a smack in the face? the hull player had just elbowed Nasri so this was retaliation. But no-one copmments about the elbow, just Nasri’s stamp. The player went down as if he had got his metatarsal fractured, the melee that followed really summed up the frustration that all of the Arsenal players had felt. Hull were taking the piss end of! Ok Nasri was wrong, but when are Arsenal players going to be protected? We are as much sinned against as being the sinners here, lets be straight about this. But the only crime on show is yet again INCONSISTENCY from the match official. they claim that it is unfair and that they are only human, PRECISELY MY POINT! who was it who said to be human is to err? Yes I am bashing referees and being sarcastic, so what’s new? These points are surely as predictable as Stan Kroenke’s share buying strategy (Have I lost you yet?)

If ever we need proof of my theory then apparently our friend Mike Dean has given so many penalties away this season, we can now see the concrete evidence of his INCONSISTENCY from the fouls that led to the award up until whether he allows the goal keeper to come off his line, or the players encroach into the 18 yard box. I am getting heartily sick of the media who want us to read their copy as lucrative southerners, but can’t wait to get one of our players in the spotlight. More copy is it? or is it just a witch hunt? So lets ignore the Rooney dive, the Calvalho shove in the back and the Terry foot over the top last weekend. Ignore the referee inconsistency that allowed the thuggery from the Hull players, because our referees as Benitez stated are “perfect”. I like his sarcasm, we should use it more often. So in response to any any bad refereeing in future, just remember that these referees are the best in the world, in fact they are perfect.

Phil Brown is the perfect manager, Rooney is a perfect gentleman, John Terry is a perfect truthful England Captain,  our media when they criticise Arsenal players, they too are truthful and perfect. In fact why do I complain so much when we live in such a perfect world?

I’m pleased with performance so far. Since our win against Liverpool we have taken few steps-playing when important men are missing and winning when they said we will struggle. I would love to take 3 points off Villa on 29th December.
Hopefully, Boss brings a CB and a Striker coz I cringe everytime Gallas dithers with ball.

    Go for it FTK!

Tell it like it is, we all know the media in general have got it in for Arsenal. Referees look for every chance to punish our boys and of course they ignore the fouls committed against them. I expect that soon they will start disallowing every other goal we score and Wenger will be given a season long touchline ban for abusing a water bottle. Paranoid? Anybody on this site? Surely not! ;-)

FTK, don’t call it a stamp, it wasn’t. Nasri STEPPED on Garcia’s foot (not his ankle). Garcia made it look like he’d been hit by a mac truck.

Good take on Nasri’s “marseillaise revenge” from Joel Che on the Arsenal-mania blog: “To my absolute surprise and shock, Samir Nasri is not on every headline this morning. A foreign player stamping off the ball – not just foreign but Arsenal and French – is media fodder. But thanks to Mark Hughes sacking and to Man United and Liverpool losing for keeping Nasri from the 24 hours news buzz. It will take Samir a season to get referees back on his side. In France and Italy, that sort of thing happens a lot. Players do it when they feel they are being wound up and fouled without protecting from the referee. It is a way to get back at the perpetrator without getting sent off but also where if he reacts wrongly from what he has been putting you through, then he would send himself off. It is conducted with stealth and intention when the ref is looking the other way and usually in a crowded area towards the lower body where the assistants and TV would have difficulty seeing clearly. It is a means of getting even without injuring the opponent or getting sent off. In England people get even on the ball and that is when they can cause terrible injuries and get sent off. Roy Keane would aim for the knee during play and put a player out for the rest of career, Zidane would headbutt on the chest of the ball. In most cases in France and Italy it is a pinch off the ball where nobody gets sent off or injured. Both are ugly and cynical but I rather prefer the type where all players to stay on the pitch and nobody leaves on a stretcher while the other gets red.”

It’s not the first time Nasri has done that sort of thing, I saw him do it at least twice when he was with Marseille. I’m sure he’s done it more (incl. at Arsenal) but the cameras didn’t catch it.

The whole incident is a whole lot of nothing.

Well said mate. I don’t know who is doing it and why. Eduardo “dive” madness was the best example. It seems other teams can spread carnage across the field and that’s all a “part of the game” as soon as any Gooner does anything- it’s a bloody crime. I’m sick of it. I’m not looking for conspiracy theories but the only explanation I can find is that we are perceived as “less English” and young and thus not able to defend ourselves against media attacks as well as orange people of Hull or Red Nose brigade of Manchester would.
We need more journalists on our side to write in our defense, any volunteers?

Let’s be fair. Phil Brown has obviously been doing a lot of the stirring. He is trying to take the focus off the fact he should be losing his job anytime now.

What I would suggest is he gives the sun beds a miss for a few months and comes down a shade or two. He stops standing on the touchline for the whole 90 minutes making hand gestures like the man in the corner of the TV at 1am in the morning.

He can also take Barmby to the vets and have him put down.

As for Stephen Hunt, I have never seen such a poor excuse of a footballer. He plays like a Duracell Bunny with his feet tied together. I have seen more talent on the X-Factor.

As there are a lot of Arsenal fans in the south, I guess the media know they are going to get more readers by going for us.

And the talk radio stations are usually slagging us off in some way shape or form to get a response.

Lets just win the league and they can all shut the f**k up.

    TJ14,

It’s not just the sun bed to blame for Phil Orangey-Brown’s irrational behaviour. The earpiece, that he wears constantly, has fried what few brain cells he was born with.

I have no wish to upset the denizens of the fine city of Kingston – upon – Hull but have to say that their team of cloggers and has-beens together with their manager has contributed in full measure to the Class-less Society, indeed they are the founder members of the No-Class Society.

I was going to mention his headpiece, but he has stopped wearing that now.

I am also amazed everone still spells Hull incorrectly. It is ‘Hole’. And is preceded by the word ‘Sh*t’.
