Kim Jong-il Blues nuke terror threat

north-korean-leader-kim-jong-il1

by CARL ELDRIDGE Big shout out to Arsenal nut and North Korean despot Kim Jong-il (who I know is a big fan of the site) this morning after his offer to nuke St Andrews following their imbecilic fans’ ‘one Matthew Taylor’ chants celebrating the fact that the cretin broke Eduardo’s leg.

Dropping an H bomb on the place is probably going a bit far but then when Arsenal fan Kevin Phillips pops up to get the flukiest of goals and effectively end our hopes of a Premier League title you would have had many volunteers from the away end who would have gladly pressed the button. I know Merv would have been one.

And so, miserably, we peruse this morning’s papers which, rather too gleefully for my liking, report our demise at the hands of the Blues and that cruel, late leveller.

The Mirror tells us that Arsene Wenger lost his cool in a four-letter rant as Arsenal’s title challenge ‘hit the buffers’. AW told reporters “leave me alone, for f***’s sake” after Phillips’ injury time equaliser brought a 1-1 draw at Birmingham.

Wenger was angry over a Craig Gardner tackle that left Cesc Fabregas nursing a knee injury which could keep him out of Wednesday’s Champions League quarter-final with Barcelona.

“It was a bad tackle — one more,” he grumbled. “He got kicked under the knee. Why was it not even a free-kick? You should ask the referee, I don’t understand football.”

When asked if he meant one more bad tackle in this game or generally, Wenger snapped. He said: “Leave me alone for f***’s sake. You do not need me to see what happened in the game. It’s you who make the controversy. I can give you my opinion on the football, but don’t try to drag me into your controversies.”

The paper adds that Fabregas, who finished the game, will have scans this morning on his knee to assess his chances of facing Barcelona, and AW admitted: “At the moment I don’t know. We tried to take him off after it happened, but he said he was all right.”

“It’s a big blow to our title chances because we were in a position where we had to win every game. We had this one won, and had chances for a second goal.”

Now to some transfer tittle-tattle and the same paper says we are set to join the race for SV Hamburg star Jerome Boateng. Manchester City have already made their interest in the 21-year-old central defender known – but we have also been alerted to his availability for £11million. Our scouts have been monitoring Bundesliga games in the last month as manager Arsene Wenger looks to strengthen his squad in the summer.

Meanwhile the News of the World claims Carlton Cole has leapt to the top of our wanted list after they were given first option on the West Ham striker. The paper says we made their move for Cole after doubts over Marouane Chamakh’s switch from Bordeaux emerged. The Moroccan hit-man has been a long-term target but now they are ready to turn their attention to £12million-rated Cole.

Let me state here and now if we sign this crock of shite I’ll never watch us again and instead spend every living moment reading from a holy book dressed in rags and living on meths.

More bollocks from the Screws which says we are paying close attention to Japanese striker Takayuki Morimoto who plays for Catania in Serie A.

Last word, as always, to henry Norris who writes in his column in the Bugle: “********** ** ******* *** ***** ********* ********* ***ing ******.”

Id like to give my thanks to Almunia for showing us that he is a shit of a keeper…even if we win all the rest of the games we still have to win it by goal difference..seeing chelsea and manure put 7 and 4 goals yesterday..not only made my stomach turn..but made me think that this year no silverware will come in our way….SEE YA NEXT YEAR FOLKS!!!!…..

    Fucking Birmingham

A little perspective here fellow Gooners, we have dropped two points, it’s not the end of the world, not even the end of our season. Our rivals for the Premiership are both likely to drop points indeed when they play each other a draw would see them both drop two.

What is it with referees, yesterday we saw yet another appalling display by a so called top rank official. He let wild tackles, on both sides, go unpunished, disallowed a goal for no apparent reason and failed to play advantage on several occasions. We ask for consistency and to an extent, with this particular referee, we get it, consistently bad

I have to agree with Hamy and Amit, Almunia is a liability and must be shipped out come the summer.

I sadly missed Henry Norris’s Bugle column but in the expurgated version above he makes some apposite comments.

Please ask Kim to Nuke Almunia’s house. What shocking piece of goal keeping?
All our hard work is wasted now.Even after getting injured Fabregas played the entire game.Hats off to him.If we don’t buy a good goal keeper, then i am sure fab is going to leave. What else can he do if we have players like Almunia.

I don’t really blame wenger for sticking with almunia because at the start of this season i was happy to stick with almunia due to his good form last year. And in January it is always difficult to sign players and lets not forget that there aren’t that many good goalkeepers anyway. And the really good ones are at clubs who are fighting for major competitions and are unlikely to want to leave halfway through.

It was a bad mistake and the latest in a long series of mistakes but you can’t really blame wenger for it. how was he to know that he would suddenly become terrible so soon after being pretty good and consistent if not spectacular.

Also as much blame should be placed on those who missed glorious chances. In a game where we had less possession than we are used to we still made some very good chances and should have taken them. Theo in the first half should have taken it round the keeper and scored. Arshavin missed from 10 yards. Nasri shot straight into the keeper’s arms after a good move. Bendtner should have scored that header which he didn’t anticipate at all. Its easy to balme Almunia but really the blame should lie with the whole team for not burying an average team by putting away the chances. Christ we miss RvP.

Nothing to add to above comments on the game.. other than the word mortified. I would however endorse the fact that residents of the right hand enclosure to the away end should be ashamed of themselves. Banter is a major part of the reason I love to attend away fixtures but why anyone would feel the need to celebrate the incident that led to a fellow players leg being snapped in two is beyond belief! This seems to be something of a midlands trait because those vile 3rd division empty ground Ellis out non car building half time parachuting knuckle draggers from Aston also indulged in something similar last season. Think this along with the obvious injury time trauma may have contributed to the queensbury rules outside the away end after the final whistle. Good to see all and sundry, young and old, getting stuck in briefly. The sight of 3 dibble trying to wrestle an “exuberant” pensioner to the ground whilst throwing wild haymakers pretty much summed up our day!
